This town is located along the road that descends from the mountains towards the southern plains. Ella is famous for the Ravana Ella waterfalls and caves. Its also a great place to enjoy the outdoors. Some nice treks can be done from here. The train journey between Ella and Nuwara Eliya is an excellent experience.
